Terms & Conditions for Kisan Katha

Welcome to Kisan Katha. These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Kisan Katha mobile application (the "App") and website at kisankatha.in. By accessing or using the App, you agree to comply with these Terms.

1. User Accounts & Session Security

To access full features, you must sign in using Google Sign-In or Mobile/Email verification OTP. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your authentication session and for all actions taken under your account.

2. Nilami Direct Peer-to-Peer Produce Marketplace Terms

Kisan Katha provides a Nilami marketplace for discovery and bidding between farmers and agricultural dealers/buyers. The following terms govern Nilami produce listings:

• Direct Dealings Only: Kisan Katha acts solely as a discovery platform. We do not process monetary payments, hold escrow funds, or collect commission fees from bids.
• Produce Quality & Inspection: Farmers and buyers agree that produce quality evaluation, moisture testing, weighing, pricing agreement, and cash or direct bank transfer terms are strictly negotiated and finalized directly between buyer and seller.
• Listing Accuracy: Farmers must provide accurate details regarding crop variety, estimated quantity, and harvest location. Buyers must honor agreed bids in good faith.

3. PMFBY 72-Hour Crop Loss Reporting Assistance

The App contains tracking tools and automated alerts for the 72-hour Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY) crop loss intimation deadline window:

• Informational Assistance: Countdown timers and automated reminders are provided for user convenience to assist farmers in tracking the reporting window.
• Official Intimation Requirement: Using the App does not automatically submit an official insurance claim to government insurance companies or banks. Farmers must formally submit intimation to their bank officer, insurance portal, or local agriculture department.

4. Voice AI & Crop Diagnostics Disclaimers

Kisan Katha provides AI-driven voice guidance and leaf image disease diagnostics. Agricultural decisions depend on local climate, soil health, and seasonal conditions. Always consult local agricultural extension officers or Krishi Vigyan Kendra agronomists before taking high-stakes financial, fertilizer, or pesticide treatment actions. Kisan Katha is not liable for crop yield variations or losses based on AI recommendations.

5. Community Guidelines

Users participating in community boards and Katha Circles agree not to post content that is abusive, offensive, fraudulent, commercial spam, or spreads agricultural misinformation. We reserve the right to remove content or block accounts violating these guidelines.

6. Account Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by selecting Delete Account in the Profile tab. We reserve the right to suspend or block access for users violating these terms.

7. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App or website signifies acceptance of revised Terms.
